Study Association Antoni van Leeuwenhoek (AvL) is the student association for the master's programs BioMedical Engineering and BioMechanical Design* at Delft University of Technology. The association was founded in January 2006, shortly after the initiation of the master's programs. Ever since, the association has rapidly developed with increasing numbers of members, activities, excursions, tours and study cases throughout the academic year. Today, AvL counts more than 600 members, ranging from 1st-year to 3rd-year master's students.

 

Both master's programs bring together students from different backgrounds (i.e. different bachelor's of science) and different nationalities. AvL aims to bond these various students together (social), help them receive high quality education (education) and give them insight into their career possibilities (career).
